Band/Orchestra Pass 1617

Student Band/Orchestra Funding Program

The Chamber Music Society of Detroit is piloting a new program to provide low-cost concert tickets to music students and their families at a few selected schools, in which a portion of the total ticket price will also be donated back to your school.   The program was made possible by a generous individual donor who would like to see students and families attending more live performances.

Discounted tickets + funding for your school.

It's a win-win.

How it works:

1. Get a discount code!

2. Get tickets!

3. Get funded!

Call the box office at (313) 246-4250 or email us at info@cmsdetroit.org and we will provide you a discount code specific to your school.

Take 33% off any tickets purchased with your discount code. Can be done online or by phone.

We donate back 20% of all income from these tickets right back to your choice of the school's band/orchestra booster program or directly to the school.

Imani Winds’ Midtown program “Classically Improvised” is a lively mix of jazz-inspired, klezmer and Latin American music, with several of the pieces written or arranged by Imani members Valerie Coleman and Jeff Scott. Performance is followed by discussion and dessert reception.

Imani Winds’ Oakland program "Tradition and Innovation" mixes works written or arranged for winds by classical composers with newer works by jazz clarinetist/saxophonist and composer Paquito D’Rivera, and Palestinian-American composer, violinist and oud virtuoso Simon Shaheen.

The fine print: Tickets subject to availability. Tickets do not have to be purchased together. No minimum for the amount of tickets purchased with discount to receive funding back to your school.
